The
Arts Magazine Nov/Dec 1999.
Arts on the internet: we surf the world (wide web) to
tell you where to go to find the arts on the net.
[Author unknown] - If you have a copy of this issue, please
contact us.
... Yet another viewpoint on the
arts can be found in The Flying Inkpot, an arts-oriented site created
by a group of literature students from the National University of
Singapore. The descriptive reviews are works of literature in themselves.
The reviews are intelligent and enthusiastic and would appeal to
those who prefer a personal touch. This is a good example of how
the Web has to some extent levelled the playing ground between large
corporations and small groups or individuals.
The
Happening Page, The
Straits Times Interactive and The Flying Inkpot (http://inkpot.com/)
all have the potential to reach the same number of readers and it
will be more a question of the content, rather than the financial
muscle, that determines whether these electronic publications are
successful or not." (excerpt from full article)
