Alaska: Spirit of the Wild

Narrated by Charlton Heston, ALASKA: SPIRIT OF THE WILD explores the land of Arctic ice, where the last great Ice Age still endures, revealing natural phenomena and exotic wildlife.

Included in the film is the opportunity to experience up close brown bears fishing, soaring bald eagles, and other fascinating animals -- grizzlies, wolves, caribou, humpback whales, sea lions, moose and elk, black bears and a rich variety of sea birds.

ALASKA: SPIRIT OF THE WILD relates the genesis of Alaska and discovers its rich history, wildlife, magnificent landscapes, harsh climate and triumphant spirit. The film is directed by George Casey, a three-time Academy Award nominee whose achievements include the first IMAX film to be nominated for an oscar.

The Greatest Places

This unusually fast-paced film takes the viewers on an OMNIMAX odyssey around the globe to seven of the "Greatest Places" on earth. Audiences will be able to experience first-hand the enormous blue icebergs of Greenland, the ancient grandeur of Tibet's Chang Tang Plateau and five other landscapes on the largest screen in Singapore.

Pic from film Among the places THE GREATEST PLACES includes are Madagascar, which is the world's fourth largest island and home to over 400 species of amphibians and reptiles, including two-thirds of the world's chameleons. Then there's Tibet, known as "the lonely place" and for the highest plateua in the world. Also included are the 6500-kilometer long, 91-meter deep and 4-kilometer wide Amazon River, the world's longest and wildest river.

This is followed bythe Iguazu Falls, which is four times wider than Nigara Falls, the Namib Desert, featuring the world's highest sand dunes. Next, there are the icebergs of Greenland and finally, Botswana's Okavango Delta, the world's largest oasis, surrounded by the Kalahari Desert.
